The show is produced by Endemol USA and Fly On The Wall Entertainment. The thirteenth season was confirmed on the same day as the finale of Big Brother 12 in a press release issued from CBS.
Pre-season
Casting for Big Brother 13 began during the finale of Big Brother 12. Applications and video tape submissions don't have a set deadline. Applicants chosen to be a finalist will go to Los Angeles, CA from which applicants will be narrowed down to a pool of forty finalists. Casting calls will be held around the United States on a later date.
