Opened on October 1, 1971, it is the most famous of the Florida theme parks. It covers 107 acres, and contains 23 attractions in seven themed "lands":
- Adventureland
- Liberty Square
- Frontierland
- Fantasyland
- Tomorrowland
- Main Street, U.S.A.
- Mickey's Toontown Fair
Its layout and attractions are generally similar to Disneyland in California, on a somewhat larger scale. "The Magic Kingdom" is also a nickname for Disneyland itself; this usage predates the Florida theme park.
