Kara Young is an American fashion model, actress, and co-founder of a New York City hair salon.

Early life

Young was born in San Francisco, California and has three sisters and one brother.

Career

Young was represented by the modeling agencies Elite Model Management and Trump Model Management. Young has worked in the USA, Japan, Italy, Britain and France. According to Young's company web site, between 1988 and 1998 she appeared in advertising campaigns for Revlon, L'Oreal, Clairol, Maybelline, as well as Victoria’s Secret and was photographed by Richard Avedon for Revlon’s "Most unforgettable Women" campaign. Young has been featured in Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. .

Young played the part of a "stuck up girl" in the 1998 movie, Coming to America. and later became an entertainment news correspondent for Fox News Channel. Young retired from modeling in 2004, and co-founded a New York City hair salon.

Personal

Young, married photographer Sante D'Orazio in 1996 and is the former girlfriend of Donald Trump. In 2005, she married self-reported, billionaire Peter Georgiopoulos, the founder of General Maritime. Young lives in New York City with Georgiopoulos and her two children. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Action Against Hunger.
