Today, it is the site of a Jewish Israeli settlement. The most famous resident is Baruch Marzel, a rightist activist and head of the Jewish National Front, who lives there with his family. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.
