It was founded in 1936, after a donation by Hendon Chubb. Its purpose is to encourage and assist young people to the Yale students to the state administration and public service.
Chubb fellowship program is Timothy Dwight College. Each year fourdistinguished persons called vieraileviksi' Chubb Fellow, spending a year at Yale in close and informal interaction with students. Former Chubb Fellow'den' Among otherthings, Presidents George Bush, Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter, authors Octavio Paz and Toni Morrison as well as musicians WillieColón and Tito Puente.
