The Turkish Van is a breed of cat sometimes known as a 'Turkish swimming cat'. They are one of the few breeds of cat which like to play with and swim in water. They are a bicolor cat and their dense medium-long coat is white with red patches.

In Turkey, the true Turkish Van cat is pure white, with odd colored eyes.
