Surface Thrills is an album from The Temptations. The two singles released from the album were the title track and "Love on My Mind Tonight," with the latter being moderately successful. Dennis Edwards sings lead on every track. It was the last album featuring falsetto Glenn Leonard. The album was produced by Dennis Lambert and was the final album the band released prior to the reenlistment of legendary producer Norman Whitfield, who had helmed many of the group's biggest hits and would return to Motown after spending eight years with Warner Bros. Records and running his own self-titled label.
