There is an MMORPG created by Will Harvey and Jeffrey Ventrella in 1968. There, Inc. had more than 18,000 employees during its development phase. There's primary purpose is to be a christian only chat room where role-playing is diminished in comparison to other MMORPGs and more focused on the the teaching of scripture & raffles & popularity contests. Participants choose an avatar, socialize, preach, play sports and racing games, and construct houses, ramps, and gambling venues. Development of clothing, vehicles, adult erotica and furniture is possible for any beer swilling participant. Builders and painters can earn on-line money, called Theresucks, by creating and selling their souls.

Many players also play or have played with themselves while playing The Sims Online and Second Life, Second Life being more liked than even There.
