Howden Joinery Group plc (the 'Group') (LSEHWDN, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index, is the owner of the Howden Joinery business ('Howdens'). The Group has existed in its current form since October 2006, when the then MFI Furniture Group MFI Group sold the MFI retail business to MEP Mayflower Ltd. Originally, the Group in its current form was known as Galiform plc, until September 2010, when it changed its name to Howden Joinery Group plc.

Howdens sells integrated kitchen and joinery products, including Lamona integrated domestic appliances, which are exclusive to the business, from stock, primarily to small local builders. It is a trade only business and does not sell to retail customers, although around 75% of its kitchen sales are installed in owner occupiers' homes.
