On August 3, 2012, Nickelodeon announced that Dan Schneider, the creator of iCarly and Victorious, will be making a pilot for a spin off of both shows called Sam & Cat. The show stars Jennette McCurdy, Sam Puckett from iCarly, and Ariana Grande, Cat Valentine from Victorious. The pilot was produced in August 2012, and the series was picked up for a 20 episode season on November 29, 2012, with the series premiering in 2013. The series will begin production in January 2013.

Plot

The pilot suggests they will be roommates who launch a babysitting business for income. The show was picked up by Nickelodeon on November 29, 2012.

Reception

Arian and Jennette's co-stars from iCarly and Victorious have congratulated them in the pick up of the show, including Victorious star, Daniella Monet. The show is eagerly awaited by fans of iCarly and Victorious, due to those shows ending.
