It's not a policy, and we're reasonably sure it's not a llama, but beyond that nobody is quite sure. Perhaps people can't agree on what it means. Perhaps people can't even agree on what it says. Perhaps people on Misplaced Pages really enjoy arguing about abstract concepts. All in all, it's quite confusing, and you'll probably be better off just reading about llamas instead. |
Thought of the indeterminate time period: The recent controversial rollout of the new notification system is an unfortunate example of being overly concerned with form rather than function. Are the new notifications prettier than the Orange Bar of Death? Yes, probably. But they are less functionally valuable, both in their blending tendency and in their convoluted clickthrough. Form is nice, but for almost anything that isn't purely artistic, functionality must come first.
O Mensch! Gib acht!
Was spricht die tiefe Mitternacht?
"Ich schlief, ich schlief,
Aus tiefem Traum bin ich erwacht:
Die Welt ist tief,
Und tiefer als der Tag gedacht.
O Mensch!
Tief ist ihr Weh,
Lust - tiefer noch als Herzeleid:
Weh spricht: Vergeh!
Alle Lust will Ewigkeit,
- Will tiefe, tiefe Ewigkeit!"
