Douglas joined the band after their former drummer, Stephen Cushman, departed in late 2000. He has been playing the drums and doing background vocals for the band for five and a half years. He has a unique drumming style, and "gets into" his drumming more than the average drummer. He also sings many solos for the band, second only to the lead singer, Matt Thiessen. He also has a side music project called Agnes. Dave is from Canton, Ohio, and currently lives in Cleveland with his wife, Rachel.
