Basic information

Harper Creek High School is a high school in the Harper Creek School District located just outside the city of Battle Creek, Michigan. In 2005, Harper Creek opened a new state-of-the-art high school. The school includes a Mac computer lab, multiple Windows computer labs, electronic lockers, built in overhead projectors in all rooms, a gymnasium with three basketball courts, a 500 seat auditorium and a 53 lane swimming pool.

Sports teams

Harper Creek is one of two high school athletic programs in the state of Michigan to use the Beaver as a mascot. Harper Creek athletics are most popular for a thirty six game regular season winning streak in football from 1994-97. In 1999, the Harper Creek football team advanced to the state semi-finals against St. Marys, the furthest any team from Battle Creek has reached since the MHSAA Playoff Expansion to 256 teams. In 2000-01 Harper Creek won the final Twin Valley Men's All Sports trophy, an awarded given to the winningest athletic program for that year.

Harper Creek now competes in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference.

Quiz Bowl

In 2003, the Quiz Bowl team won the Class B state championship and advanced to a national tournament. Harper Creek also fielded a team in the 2005 and 2006 state championships.
