Buckethead is the pseudonym of a mystery guitarist who has recorded several solo albums, in addition to his work with Primus bassist Les Claypool, and Bootsy Collins. His stage persona at all times wears a white mask, and a cardboard tub reminiscent of those used by Kentucky Fried Chicken. Another alias that he occasionally records under is Death Cube K.

The music of Buckethead tends to be inspired by themes of science fiction and horror films, robots, and monsters. Fans have speculated about the true identity of the guitarist, but with no clear evidence to go on, generally agree that such matters are best left unknown.
