An editor thinks something is wrong with this page. They can't be bothered to fix it, but they think that they've done their encyclopedic duty by sticking tags or even tagbombing it.
Please allow these tags to decorate indefinitely the page, since nobody can decipher what the tags mean.
Please note: If your message is related to a disputed edit, the best thing to do is open a discussion on the talkpage of the article instead of leaving a message here. This way we may involve as many editors as possible instead of confining the discussion here. Misplaced Pages is a community effort. Let's use this community component. Thank you.
Welcome

Please feel at home. Let's have a discussion in this beautiful place.

The fiscally responsible approach to editing

References in Misplaced Pages are like money. You have it, your edits go places; you don't, then they are not accepted. And of course you are not allowed to print your own money, i.e. make-up your own references, they have to be from third-party, reliable sources, i.e. real money from a real bank. Needless to say you are not allowed to spend other people's money. All currency may have to go through the scanner for validation. It is a simple system actually because Misplaced Pages is like a (data) bank. If the deposits (i.e. edits) you are making are good, your credit limit (i.e. your credibility as an editor) increases. But if you start making counterfeit deposits, (i.e. bogus edits), the accountants, (other editors), may want to have a word with you and, of course, your credit cards will be cancelled, (i.e. your credibility will be zero).

A barnstar for you!

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
It seems like you have helped in a bunch of sockpuppet investigations. Thank you! APerson (talk!) 23:31, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much APerson for the nice barnstar and your kind words. It is nice to know that my anti-socking efforts are appreciated. Take care. Δρ.Κ.  00:29, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Photographer's Barnstar
Have you been given one of these? If not, you should have been! Your photos of Greece are brilliant and bring so much to the articles that utilise them. Adieu! LudicrousTripe (talk) 17:58, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much LudicrousTripe for this wonderful barnstar. It's actually the only time anyone bothered to award me one. It really means a lot to me after so many years uploading all kinds of pictures here. It is a very nice and thoughtful gesture and I gratefully acknowledge it. Take care. Au revoir. Δρ.Κ.  22:23, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
For your editing and scrutiny of articles for the betterment of Misplaced Pages, I award you this barnstar. Cheers, Kierzek (talk) 13:14, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much Kierzek for this thoughtful gesture. I was never called tireless in barnstar form before and it is a nice surprise and a unique honour to receive it from an editor I greatly respect. Cheers. :) Δρ.Κ.

FYI

Please see this comment, which might indirectly concern you. Note though that I don't intend it as a complaint against your redaction per se (you can quote me on that!), but merely an attempt to understand the current norms regarding BLP on wikipedia to see if should still be occasionally making an edit here or not. 50.148.126.65 (talk) 00:42, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for the notification. I'm not interested in pursuing this further. I tried to enforce BLP per recent precedent of reverts by other editors on that talkpage and then the political ****storm erupted. That's a sure sign to keep away from it. And yes, please continue making edits here. It is readily apparent that you are an open-minded, eloquent and fair person. Take care. Δρ.Κ.  02:03, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Duchess of Cambridge

Dear Dr K, Given that it is now proven that the Duchess of Cambridge is a direct descendant of Edward III, do you not think that the ancestry section on her site should be re written? It makes no sense that "she is likely descended from..." when the last line stresses that recent research confirms that she is no longer "likely" a descendent of Edward III - she is in fact, a PROVEN descendent of Edward III. All the best Ed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.144.27.165 (talkcontribs)

I'll check this out Ed. Δρ.Κ.  09:30, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Having checked this out I saw that I did not edit this article recently, so I gather that your question is not related to any edit revert on my part. If you are asking for my advice, I can suggest that if you feel confident that your sources are reliable you can go ahead and make these changes on your own. Let me know if you have any further questions. Best regards. Δρ.Κ.  09:41, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

Barnstar of National Merit (GRE)

The Greece Barnstar of National Merit
Just total respect, really. Unbelievable levels of respect. Cheers! LudicrousTripe (talk) 09:53, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
Hi LT. What a nice surprise. Even though, now that I have become an award-winning nationalist, my days on this project may indeed be numbered. Regardless, thank you very much for your kind thoughts and your respect which I gladly reciprocate. Cheers. :) Δρ.Κ.  19:57, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
Hello, Dr.K. Please, allow me to assure you that I only meant to praise your edits: "A Barnstar of National Merit may be awarded to an editor who contributes significantly by expanding or improving Misplaced Pages's coverage of any past or present continent or regional grouping, country, or subnational place such as a province or city." The name of the award is unfortunate, since it implies that in fact I am calling you out as a nationalist, which is a grievous insult, indeed. As Albert Einstein correctly observed, nationalism is "an infantile disease", "nothing more than an idealistic rationalization for militarism and aggression." Adieu! LudicrousTripe (talk) 08:32, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
No need to explain LT. Let me clarify the background of my reply to you. My comment was meant in jest, especially since over the years I have been accused multiple times by others who rushed to judge me based only on my national background. So I was just making fun of what these people were going to think as soon as they saw that I got awarded such a barnstar. I think that in their eyes this could have been the ultimate confirmation of their prejudices. I never intended to be critical of your action, far from that. But I guess the limitations of the written medium, and my lack of a clear background explanation during my initial reply to you, did not carry my intended humour very far. I am very thankful for the honour and I apologise for the unintended misunderstanding. You are always very welcome on my talkpage and thank you again for taking the time to award me this great barnstar. Take care and au revoir. :) Δρ.Κ.  09:26, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
Ha ha ha! I see! Thanks for the explainer! Laters! LudicrousTripe (talk) 11:22, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
Great. Now I'm sure I got my point across. Later. :) Δρ.Κ.  21:08, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Espresso

Please see the discussion on the talk page. Expresso is incorrect in Italian, and also considered incorrect by most English dictionaries. There was a general consensus not to encourage the propagation of this error, by specifically not mentioning the minority opinion in the lead section, and only discussing it in detail in the Etymology section, where the full issue can be explored in detail, which it cannot be in the lead. The lead is a summary, and does not have to include every little detail, especially when controversial. Yworo (talk) 21:56, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

Thank you Yworo. I tend to agree with your opinion given that "expresso" is wrong form. I agree in this case it should not be included at the lead as it would be misleading to appear there without mentioning that the term is actually wrong. Δρ.Κ.  22:39, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

20th century

When I modified the dates of the century, along with other centuries and millenniums, I used a source as reliable as can be used for this type of subject that clearly states the reasoning for the change. You reverted the article to its definition with a dubious source. That source is a news clipping allegedly from 1901 that does not present anything compelling as to why the century began in 1901 instead of 1900. This entire debate is based solely on an opinion of how to define a calendar reference point. There is no one authority that can speak as to whether we should use a year zero or year one as a calendar reference point. The consensus today would be to define a starting point of something with zero instead of one. Please see my reasons for changing the years in the talk page, Dates section. Also, the current reference used for the 21st Century, The 21st Century and the 3rd Millennium When Did They Begin? does mention that there is a year 0 in the Astronomical calendar. When I made the change on that page, I made the years in reference to the Astronomical calendar instead of the Gregorian calendar, so what was changed was factual to its reference. Opting in to VisualEditor

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit ") is currently available on the English Misplaced Pages only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 50 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Misplaced Pages:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:15, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

:D I knew you

I remembered your reversion of holaquepasa's vandalism on Marc Antony. I got rollback 10 days ago. Did You? DDreth 12:52, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

No. I don't remember that revert. But thank you for watching the edits of the IP sock. :) Take care. Δρ.Κ.  12:56, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

We didn't win yet. If the sockpuppeteer comes and adds useless additions into the article. We have to get ready and pound him to the EW Noticeboards. DDreth 12:59, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

I already opened an SPI, requested page protection and reported the IP at AIV. I think these should be enough for now. Δρ.Κ.  13:03, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
Kuru just blocked both. Thanks again for your much needed help. See you around. :) Δρ.Κ.  13:07, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Sorry!

Sorry that I didn't source my edit at first. It did look pig-headed not to do so. Indiasummer95 (talk) 15:40, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

My apologies also. I checked the edit again and it was hopelessly POV and did not properly reflect the sources giving undue emphasis to a single fact. On that basis alone it should have been removed or modified and your action was correct in the first place. I have also acknowledged this in my edit summary: . Thank you again. Best regards. Neutral notice

This is a neutral notice that an RfC has been opened at an article which you have edited within the past year. It is at Talk:Clint Eastwood#8 children by 6 women. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:21, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Precious

chiming in
Thank you for quality articles on Greece and many other subjects, for taking care of precision and factuality in articles, for inviting to talk on article level, for knowing the whispering winds of history, for missing people on a personal level, - repeating: you are an awesome Wikipedian (16 January 2010)!

--Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:08, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

Gerda, welcome to my talkpage. Thank you very much for the great honour and your beautiful words. They are precious to me and I will treasure them for ever. Take care. Δρ.Κ.  11:28, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
I invite you to my talk and the whispering of music ;) - I learned to pass the honour from the sadly missed friend, - met you on his talk. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:47, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much Gerda for the invitation. It sounds really poetic. I reciprocate it with a permanent invitation on my talk, where you will always be welcome. :) I have seen you around for some time and always enjoyed your insightful comments. As far as our mutual friend, I hope PS comes back one day. Storms do clear up eventually, especially the ones on wiki. Take care. Δρ.Κ.  02:52, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

WikiCup 2014

Hi, you should consider signing up for WikiCup 2014. Cheers, --Sp33dyphil ©ontributions 00:37, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Lol. Thank you very much Sp33dyphil for the suggestion. I don't know the rules but from what I have seen this looks like the wiki equivalent of a cross between a soccer competition and Daytona 500. Very entertaining, now that I looked closer at it, but I'm not sure I'm up for it. I appreciate the compliment though. :) Take care. Δρ.Κ.  03:51, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Why? Just a bit of harmless fun. It's up to you though. --Sp33dyphil ©ontributions 06:37, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

DYK for France Dimanche

Updated DYK queryOn 5 November 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article France Dimanche, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in 1949, copies of France Dimanche were seized in France because they were carrying pictures of Princess Margaret and her entourage, which were deemed to be an insult? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/France Dimanche. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

SHOUTING

LudicrousTripe (talk) 21:36, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Lol. That's very apt. Thank you very much LT. Δρ.Κ.  21:49, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Sorry for more spam, but I just read this and had to laugh! I reckon you'd look pretty fetching in a diaper and a corset, Greek man! Just follow the Germans, for they are the real experts on tax evasion! OK, enough spammage now. ;D Adieu! LudicrousTripe (talk) 16:39, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks LT. Apparently German engineering has no boundaries. Very interesting. Δρ.Κ.  02:27, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
I have no idea what this is all about, but, yes, as a German-American I can say honestly and with confidence that I look lovely in a diaper and a corset.  davidiad { t } 06:53, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
LOL Davidiad. This attire is more related to engineering rather than fashion, or perhaps to both. It's the latest "must have" equipment for those planning to evade taxes in the eurozone. The Greeks made an early start and now the rest of the Eurozone is following suit, the "suit" being the diapers. Δρ.Κ.  14:39, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Unfair warning

Sorry If I didn't put a verifiable source in my edit to the page called Justin Bieber, but please is not necessary to give me that unfair warning. I'm going to find a source (IN ENGLISH) for that information, because it is only in Spanish. Thanks. Ezequiel Matias Acosta (talk) 15:23, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

@Ezequiel Matias Acosta: When you say: Sorry If I didn't put a verifiable source in my edit to the page called Justin Bieber, but please is not necessary to give me that unfair warning. I hope you understand how flippant that sounds. It sounds like: "Oh, gee I just accused someone of intoxication due to alcohol or drugs and added it to their article on Misplaced Pages so that everyone can see it, and without any supporting reliable evidence, but hey, it's ok. Don't warn me please". I am afraid it is absolutely necessary that you get a warning when you accuse Bieber of a high-level of intoxication due to alcohol or drugs as you did in your edit here, without using sources. Your unsourced BLP violation of Bieber stayed in the article for four and a half hours before I spotted it and reverted it before it did any more damage. Given the severity of the situation, my warning was definitely both necessary and fair and contained some good advice about WP:BLP and using reliable sources. I suggest you read it again and try to follow what it says, because judging from your message here I don't think you understood the severity of your actions in Bieber's BLP. By the way even if you find a source to support these allegations I suggest you propose them on the talkpage first, otherwise chances are you will be reverted again. I hope this helps. Good luck. Δρ.Κ.  18:43, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Your mentorship and expertise

I suppose that I haven't discussed anything with you for a long time. At what are you expert? Lately, I've done a lot of requested moves, and I've been scolded sometimes for wasting energy on requesting title changes. What should I do? Also, I'm advised to find a "law" expert regarding case titles and article names of cases. --George Ho (talk) 20:52, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi George. Long time no see. Nice to see you. I am not a law expert so I cannot advise you on legal article titles. As for meeting opposition on some of your moves, I can only advise you in a generic manner. That is if the opposition is from two editors or more, perhaps it is an indication that your move is controversial so you should consider abandoning the effort. If there is only one opposer the best thing to do is discuss the matter with the editor and if it drags on you should seek a third opinion at WP:3O. Having said that, I think article moves is a cleanup effort. Perhaps you could add other cleanup tasks to that list. Diversification is sometimes a good idea. Concentrating your edits on only one area may cause problems occasionally. Take care and if you have further questions don't hesitate to ask. Δρ.Κ.  22:03, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Someone accused me of misunderstanding MOS:LAW#Article titles. Is there something wrong with it, or where can I spend energy on? George Ho (talk) 01:47, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
On Misplaced Pages, especially during disputes, editors accuse other editors of not understanding policy so you being accused of not understanding policy is not particularly alarming. I am not familiar with the dispute you are referring to but if you want to continue to participate in that discussion I'd suggest you file a report at WP:3O and see what their opinion is. Your future actions in this respect should be determined by how important you think this subject is to you. In the end, you are the only one who can decide that. Δρ.Κ.  06:06, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
I told Magog about this, but I'll give links to you also: WT:Manual of Style/Legal, Talk:United States v. Microsoft Corp., User talk:George Ho, User talk:GregJackP, Talk:Sega v. Accolade. The 3O is useless because there is third-party involved already. George Ho (talk) 06:13, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
I gave your links a quick look and IMO it looks like a no consensus situation with another editor as your main opposition. Such cases are tough to resolve. I see you already had an RFC. Have you considered WP:DRN? Δρ.Κ.  21:02, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
It's too late for DRN, now that we have two titles currently disputed: Sega, and Microsoft. Also, DRN is for content disputes. George Ho (talk) 21:10, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
IMO, based on a cursory and incomplete reading of the information you gave me, the remaining option is to wait and see how your "Requested move 2" on the Microsoft case goes. If it passes then you will know you have consensus. If not, then you should disengage. This looks like a dispute which is not easy to resolve and it may be a long time before it gets settled. I don't think it is advisable to pursue this strongly in the absence of any clear community support. Δρ.Κ.  21:27, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
So what do you think about MOS:LAW#Article titles? Not well-explained, or what? Should it explain Roe v. Wade? George Ho (talk) 22:32, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Sorry George. I can't help you with that. Not only I am not an expert on legal onomatology but this is a subject which is not exactly up there with my favourite pastimes. In fact it may be at the very bottom if there was one. Δρ.Κ.

Did not cite?

What exactly did I edit on the VIXX page that was not verified? And I did in fact cite sources (If you are referring to the "Milky Way Showcase" section) or are you referring to the member positions I edited in (I'm sure that was common knowledge and already established) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Goth67 (talkcontribs)

Your edit here added positions without a reference. All I did is remind you that in this encyclopedia if you add anything it must be referenced. Please add references for these positions or do not add them again. There is no such thing as positions for K-pop groups which are "common knowledge and already established" without references. Δρ.Κ.  23:31, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
BTW, not only the positions are not common knowledge and already established but soon after you added the unsourced positions an IP immediately changed all of them. This is why we need the reliable references: to stabilise the information and make it verifiable so that noone can change it to their liking. Δρ.Κ.  23:47, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Nine Muses

Just curious why you removed the birthdays from Nine Muses (band). EvergreenFir (talk) 04:02, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Can you guess? Δρ.Κ.  04:03, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
The only decent reason I can think of is that they are incorrect. However, your edit explanation does not mention their veracity, just "quality control". EvergreenFir (talk) 20:44, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Ok. Wrong guess. I will give you the answer then. The only decent reason I can think of in an encyclopaedic environment is verifiability and reliable sources. No? Δρ.Κ.  21:45, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
And let's not forget whose edits I reverted: Amanidiotdo. Amanidiotdo: Strange username: "A man idiot do". Also adding unverifiable information without reliable sources. Overall not a very encyclopaedic picture. Don't you think? In any case if you have any more ideas, or want to defend Amanidiot's edits any further, please take them up on the article talkpage. Thank you. Δρ.Κ.  21:55, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Well thanks for explaining your reasoning. That said, you don't need to be condescending. I was asking in earnest. EvergreenFir (talk) 04:01, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
May I remind you of not prejudging my intentions? I was as clear and patient as I could be trying to explain to you things that are supposed to be self-evident: Noone should add any material in any article if it is not referenced, especially in a BLP. This is basic quality control and should be self-evident to everyone. Yet here you were asking me why I deleted unsourced information and coming back for more. I then explained a few more things about my revert including details about the username of the editor which sounded a lot like he was calling himself an idiot. I also advised you that any disputed edit should be addressed on the talkpage of the article. You took this as condescension. I don't know why and frankly I don't care. You should have been able to check these details out before you came to my talkpage asking questions with self-evident answers. I thought you needed advice on reliable sources and verifiability. I was wrong. You also need more advice regarding assuming good faith. Δρ.Κ.  04:36, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
I did not prejudge your intentions. I judged your tone as condescension. I came here to ask your reasoning, and I got my answer. I am fine with your explanation. But don't expect a hearty thanks for deigning to explain your actions to me. I should have guessed from your "guess" and "Ok. Wrong guess. I will give you the answer then.", but I assumed good faith. It appears I was mistaken. EvergreenFir (talk) 16:55, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

Thanks for your numerous and ever so helpful investigations of sockpuppets. Ensignricky Talk 00:47, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
LOL. I had no idea such a barnstar existed. Therefore my surprise is double, first for getting the barnstar, second for getting a barnstar that I never heard of. Thank you very much. I really appreciate your nice gesture. It's a great looking barnstar btw. :) Take care. Δρ.Κ.  00:54, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Evilness

Now he was evil! Incidentally I saw him (Michael Gothard) in a movie a few months back with Christopher Lee Scream and Scream Again and he was playing a mutant on the run. Most of the movie was people chasing him!! I was wondering, do you do GA reviews at all? I have an African village Msambweni needing reviewing. It's short but sweet and given the size of settlement in Kenya is very comprehensive. I scraped together all I could find on it and have requested some images. Couldn't find anything on history but overall I think it's adequate given that it's Kenya. Happy to review anything of yours for GA if you let me know...♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:58, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

"Scream and Scream Again" sounds like a great movie. I'll try to find it. Thank you Doc for the idea. Thank you also for offering to review my articles for GA. It sounds like a great idea and I will let you know after I check a few of the articles. I haven't participated in too many GA reviews but I'll check Msambweni and will let you know. Always nice talking to you. Take care. Δρ.Κ.  20:11, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

A small reward for hard work

The Corfu Barnstar
For a steady production of great articles on the monuments of the beautiful island of Corfu, and on the occasion of Saint Spyridon's day, I am happy to award you with this token of appreciation! As always, dear Doctor, keep it up! Constantine 21:37, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

BTW, you might find this map interesting for the fortress articles. Cheers, Constantine 21:37, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

What can I say? I never thought a barnstar like this could exist, but then again, I didn't count on your design and technical skills. Thank you very much Kostas for this unexpected and nice award. It is a great honour and I really appreciate it. Now that you mentioned the Saint's name day, I think it is appropriate that the church article now exists, not to mention those of the other landmarks associated with that era. Thank you also for the map, it looks very detailed and clear but I think it shows fortifications in the old city perimeter that no longer exist. I wish the legend were a bit clearer. Fascinating piece. Δρ.Κ.  01:00, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

Hello! Your submission of Swen Swanson at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! - Karenjc (talk) 22:13, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi Dr. K. Thanks for the message - was glad to help with the review. One thing I'm struggling with though: the review is showing up on the article's individual DYK template talk page, but our comments there aren't being transcluded onto T:DYK. Can you point me at what I'm doing wrong? Cheers, - Karenjc (talk) 22:31, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
Thank you again Karen for your help. The problem with the transclusion can be solved by forcing the server to renew the connection. At the talkpage of the article you can make a dummy edit: choose "edit source", then save without adding anything. Check again, the conversation should appear. Take care. Freedom of religion in Georgia — looking for comments on sourcing and impartiality

Hi. I hope you've been doing well. I was wondering if you might be willing to have a look at the article on Freedom of religion in Georgia, where I have done a major rewrite. The article, as it currently stands, is highly critical of the Georgian Orthodox Church and its activities in the public arena in Georgia — but I'm not sure what else I can do, since this appears to be the view taken by mainstream reliable published sources. I asked for feedback at the Eastern Orthodoxy wikiproject talk page, and I got a lengthy reply from one editor suggesting some ideas which may or may not be usable per Misplaced Pages's RS and NPOV policies as they are generally understood. If you have any thoughts on this subject, I'd be grateful to hear them. Thanks. — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 22:56, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

Time for an RfA?

Hi Δρ.Κ.

I hope this post finds you well. I was wondering if you would consider standing for adminship and permitting me to nominate you. You appear to have an admirable record of content creation and your non-article contributions lead me to believe that you would use the tools in a trustworthy way. What are your thoughts?- MrX 15:35, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi MrX. Thank you very much for your kind comments and for taking the time to look at my work. Thank you also for your offer regarding nominating me for a potential RfA. I would be very pleased to accept it, as long as I decide on actually going through the process. Perhaps if I focus enough on the idea of an RfA I could attempt it. But I haven't given it much thought. It is like visiting a relative. It sounds vaguely like a good idea, but sometimes the mechanics of actually going through with it make the fun diminish somewhat. :) Take care. Δρ.Κ.  00:08, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
I understand your reservations. If you decide later that you would like to pursue it, please let me know and I will be glad to nominate you. Happy editing.- MrX 02:53, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Quite a bit of hubris

I just scanned this page for hubris, and my detector blew up. That means a lot of hubris was in the process of being identified before my detector was rendered inoperative. Here is my explanation of your disgraceful hubris: "DR K is a Danish television channel from DR dedicated to culture and history." You will, of course, Greek man, be devastated by my public outing of your hubris—but I make no apology.

But whence this utter gibberish about hubris? And not just hubris, mind you, for I have detected total complacency and total hubris. Simply disgraceful.

Comment Change

Hi, Dr. K. Here: https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Talk:Northern_Cyprus&diff=592791087&oldid=592781593 You said: "Not allowed to change the comments of others.". My aim was not to change the user comments as you may guess immediately (I did not change even a comma in your comment in essence). I wanted only organize the pro and con opinions in the systematic way. I do not know any way of this. A table is not suitable I think. Once I remimber, there were green OK and red NON symbols in Misplaced Pages for voting in Talk pages. I think, consensus is more than voting, in essence. Is there a tool in Misplaced Pages that users put pro..con symbols while simultanously have the ability to add relevant opinion? I think the merit of pro..con opininions superside the numbers of pros or cons. Kind regards. Alexyflemming (talk) 13:44, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
