Citing references

Hi - when you add references, an url isn't sufficient. You can read WP:CITE but if your setup is like mine, above this edit window where I'm typing is first a menu that has a large B, and italic I, etc and at the end has a dropdown menu 'Cite'. When you drop that down, and the next line there is a dropdown menu for templates which you can use. For books you need title, author, publisher, year published, ISBN and vitally page numbers. You always need titles, dates where relevant, authors when available, journal title if it's a journal (and the page numbers of the article, you don't normally need individual page numbers as you do for books). Here's the official warning:

As a result of an arbitration case, broad editing restrictions apply to all pages broadly related the Arab-Israeli conflict. These sanctions are described at Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Palestine-Israel articles#Final decision and a brief summary is included below:

• Any uninvolved administrator may, at their own discretion, impose sanctions on editors working in the area of conflict who repeatedly or seriously fail to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, satisfy any standard of behavior, or follow any normal editorial process.
• Possible sanctions include blocks, bans and other editing restrictions.
• A one revert per twenty-four hours restriction applies to articles broadly related to the Arab-Israeli conflict, editors may be blocked without warning if they breach this restriction. See here for more information.

As Alf.laylah.wa.laylah says, you violated 1RR.

It doesn't matter if New York Times calls it a "kidnapping" because it is still not acceptable to call it that here at Misplaced Pages. The article Gilad Shalit is not perfect but in the lead, it's stated that he is a former MIA soldier, that he was abducted and captured.
