Ray Parker is a Composerof note, and a life long resident of the City of Alexandria,(Commonwealth of Virginia). His musical training includes but is not limited to the study of Trumpet with Lloyd C. Geisler, former 1st Chair Trumpet and Assistant Conductor for 30 years with The Washington D.C National Symphony Orchestra. Parker also completed music curriculum accredited by the Julliard School of Music, NY, and The Catholic University of America while serving in the United States Air Force as a musician during The Korean War (1950-1954). During the "Golden Era" of the big bands and song writing (1940s and 50s), Parker had a sixteen piece band performing ballroom dancing,night clubs,other additional professional events. In addition Parker conducted and promoted a "Big Band" during the 1950s jointly with Willis Conover, producer and promoter of jazz world-wide on The Voice of America. Mr. Parker's philosophy to live by is: "Count your life by the smiles, not the tears; count your age by your friends, not the years; and make the days count, don't just count the years."
