The Okinawan languages are a subgroup of the Northern Ryukyuan languages of Japan. There are two:
- Kunigami (or "Northern Okinawan" or the Nakijin dialect; also includes dialects spoken on Okinoerabujima and Yoronjima)
- (South–Central) Okinawan (Standard Okinawan or the Shuri and Naha dialects)
