Apologies for having to redact an edit from your talkpage - this is a serial BLP abuser using an IP to evade a block. -- Euryalus (talk) 08:11, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Not a problem at all — to the contrary, thank you for pitching in to clean up after yet another troll hell-bent on using Misplaced Pages to defame their enemies. There's no shortage of them. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 08:14, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 17
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 4chan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Telegraph (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Misplaced Pages and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Gamergate controversy are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Please just don't reply to forum comments. It will make things go smoother on the talk page. Strongjam (talk) 02:44, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- FYI I've redacted the names of the people in the discussion to avoid identifying individuals since the discussion is about professional misconduct. I don't think you violated any BLP, but felt it would be best just to make sure the individuals weren't immediately identifiable. Admittedly anyone familiar with the subject can probably read between the lines. — Strongjam (talk) 02:51, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- After reading DHeyward's edit summary removing my similar note I found WP:DTR, so I wanted to apologize for the templating. — Strongjam (talk) 17:00, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
As a regular, where do I go to complain that I'm not getting my fair share of templates? --TS 21:56, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
Duplicate articles
Having recently caught a duplicate article and having the second one speedied, you may wish to revisit your creation of Petersburg Creek - Duncan Salt Chuck Wilderness and Petersburg Creek-Duncan Salt Chuck Wilderness and figure out which one is the appropriate title. Give a ref the whistle and he feels he must blow it
I was just reading though the PD and saw your section. Looks like they can't make something stick, so they try try try again. Those jokers are intellectually bankrupt.--Two kinds of porkBacon 07:23, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

For outstanding work round Gamergate. I am absolutely certain that if I spent as much time trying to keep things honest as you do I'd have lost my temper on the wiki at least once by now. Neonchameleon (talk) 15:32, 24 January 2015 (UTC) |
Give me a list
I was just reading your discussion with Roger (his talk page is on my watchlist). You know I have mixed feelings about the topic ban proposed for you, and I know I'm not your favourite person at the moment. I think you've mostly done your utmost to keep libel out of articles; but there's no way anyone could spend as long gazing into the abyss as you have (especially without doing something else to distract you) without the abyss gazing back into you, and that's going to take it's toll. I also agree with Roger that the topic ban needs to be re-populated with editors who have no strong feelings on the subject, and you obviously have very strong feelings about GamerGate. But all that aside, I noticed your comment about protections. If you give me a list of the articles you think need protecting, I'll evaluate them all. And by all means have a hair trigger for reporting serious issues to RfPP/AIV/ANI or directly to me—nobody expects you to go through the motions when the edits are obvious libel, and any admin worth their mop will block, protect, and RevDel as appropriate, even if they only take a conservative approach and somebody more familiar with the issues has to go through and tie up the loose ends later.
