Dutch Low Saxon (Saksisch, Nedersaksisch) is a West Low German dialect group that is used in the northeastern Netherlands. By some observers it is considered a dialect of the Dutch language, and therefore Low Franconian group. Some forms of Dutch Low Saxon show features of Westphalian, a West Low German dialect spoken in Germany. It is comprised of the following forms:
- Twents
- Midden-Drents en Westerwolds
- Gronings
- Twents-Graafschaaps
- Noord-Drents
- Zuiddrents/Sallands
- Sallands
- Zuid-Drents
- Achterhoeks
- Veluws
