Overview

Keene State College is a member of the University System of New Hampshire along with the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University, and the Colleges for Lifelong Learninglocated throughout the state.

Founded in 1909 as a Teacher's College, today Keene State College has grown to 6,400 students, the one of the larger colleges in New Hampshire, and is approximately 1/4th of the total population of the city of Keene,New Hampshire.

Academics

A largely Liberal Arts college, Keene State offers a wide variety of science and arts majors, as well as the only Film major available in a New Englandpublic college.

Athletics

Keene State is a NCAA Division III school, in the Little East Conference. Current programs include Basketball(Mens and Womens), Soccer(Mens and Womens), Baseball, Softball, Track(Indoor and Outdoor, Mens and Womens), and a Rugby Club, among other programs. The school nickname is the Owls.
