MC4 is the upcoming second studio album by American rapper French Montana, scheduled to be released on August 19, 2016, by Epic Records. It will be the fourth installment in the "Mac & Cheese" series, and the first to be released as an album. In late March 2016, French Montana revealed in an interview with Billboard that the album is completed and ready for release. Rumored guests on the album are Kanye West, Jadakiss, Styles P, Beanie Sigel, Jay Z, Nas, Chinx, Velous, Max B, Kodak Black, Miguel, Drake, and many more.
Background
On November 9, 2013, French Montana revealed an early cover art teasing the release of "Mac & Cheese 4" but had not specified whether it would be a mixtape or an album. The rapper had recently released his debut album Excuse My French earlier that year. In an January 8, 2014 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, French confirmed that the record would be his sophomore album to be released later in the year. On June 29, in an interview with MTV News during the 2014 BET Awards, French revealed the album to be dropping in November, and would include collaborations from the likes of Kanye West, will.i.am and fellow Coke Boys Lil Durk and Chinx.
On December 8, 2014, Montana has announced the release of his extended play. It was considered to be a collaborative project with his longtime record producer Harry Fraud, titled Mac & Cheese: The Appetizer, and has been scheduled for the release on December 16, 2014. Mac & Cheese: The Appetizer serves as a prequel or as a prelude for the upcoming album, titled MC4. On December 19, following the delays, Montana has finally released the mixtape. The tape was consisted with 7 tracks. On May 8, 2015, within so much delays, Montana released his nineteenth mixtape Casino Life 2. On October 26, 2015, he also released his collaborative mixtape with a American fellow hip hop recording artist Fetty Wap, Coke Zoo. He then announced that the album has been pushed back until the unexpected release for sometime in 2016. On February 19, 2016, Montana released his twentieth mixtape Wave Gods, hosted by Max B.
