You've made a lot of good contributions, and received recognition of that fact, but a few contributions have stepped on other peoples toes, and they have been a harsh in their defence. Sometimes the best stratergy is just to drop a battle, rather than escilation which occurs. Yes your tagging of Starwood festival did help in establishing its notability and has helped impove the article.
The sockpuppetry is very concerning, ultimatle sockpuppetry is a form of deceipt, with people pretending to be something which they are not. I'm sure your psychology training has much to say on the problems of deceipt as it makes it harded for others to trust. I can't tell if these others are sockpuppets or not. --Salix alba (talk) 10:47, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, Mattisse, it turns out that I was defending a few pages from attacks by your 15 hostile sockpuppets. I reverted a couple of what I considered hostile edits. Turns out I was right. I occasionally ask 999 and SynergeticMaggot to help when I think an editor is degrading rather than improving an article. More eyes make for better articles. Sometimes they even disagree with me and end up helping the other editor do a better job at integrating the new material they want to add. I don't always agree with 999 and sometimes find his rudeness grating, but IMO he is sincerely interested in making WP better.
I see nothing particularly useful or noble about using 15 sockpuppets to go around tagging dozens of articles on pagan writers with multiple tags. That appears to me to be a hostile act. So yes, I helped 999 defend the articles against your attacks. Since they have clearly been proven to be attacks, I have nothing I need to justify to you.
I'm glad you are leaving. We don't need the sort of deceptive and hostile activity you engaged in on WP. It's hard enough to collaborate when people have different points of view and try with good faith to get them all into an article. It becomes impossible when bad faith and duplicity become involved. I can't understand why you thought it would help Misplaced Pages. It seems your only thought was to get your way with respect to articles about a belief system which you dislike, for whatever reasons.
As I said to one of your socks (I think), I am not a neo-pagan, I am a Hindu. I have no interest in the articles about Starwood and pagan writers except to see that they are treated fairly. Some few deserved deletion, but the rest simply needed to be improved. There is plenty of time for that to happen, you don't need to try to make it happen single-handedly. I hope you will think about this and understand that what you did was wrong... —Hanuman Das 15:08, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
