"Starcrossed" is the three-part series finale of the animated series Justice League. It is the last of 3 three-part episodes, sometimes broadcasted or released as movies. The story of the Justice League continued in Justice League Unlimited
Plot
After Earth is attacked by a Gordanian battleship, the Justice League are aided by an army of hawkmen from Hawkgirl's home planet of Thanagar. They discover that Hawkgirl has been providing her people with details about Earth... and about the League. Not only that, but Green Lantern discovers that Hawkgirl, whom he has gotten romantically involved with, is engaged to Hro Talak, the leader of the Thanagarian army. The Thanagarians offer to help Earth defend against the Gordanians, but Batman discovers that this is just a ruse. The Thanagarians have a much more sinister plan for Earth. Meanwhile, Shayera Hol finds herself torn between her allegiance to Thanagar and love for Hro Talak and her love for Earth and for John Stewart. Whom will she betray?
Trivia
The mask Batman used while undercover as a dignitary on the Thanagarian ship was strikingly similar to the face of Alan Napier, Alfred from the '60s Batman series.
Cast
Home video release and DVDs
The episode was released as Starcrossed The Movie: which contains "Starcrossed" in both widescreen and fullscreen. A mini-DVD version of this disc has also been released with only fullscreen.
Later, the episodes were released in Justice League: Season Two, which contains a set of 4 DVDs with all of the episodes from the second season as well as audio commentaries, interviews, and other special features. It has been announced that the DVD's will be in the Full Frame (1.33:1) aspect ratio that the season was originally animated in; more information.
