Hey hey everyone. The name's Shane, in case you haven't guessed that already. The brief history: I was born October 2nd, messed around for a while, joined Misplaced Pages November 10th, 2004, and became an admin on January 1st, 2006 (great way to ring in the new year, eh?). I'm a (future) CompSci major (presently in college for that) from the Chicagoland area, and I should be working as either a website designer (practically) or a video game designer (my wildest dream) someday. I'm here because I believe in the concept and the community that is wikipedia. While I haven't found much original material to contribute to yet, you'll find I've been hard at work at various unglamorous behind-the-scene tasks, as well as trolling for vandalism. Additionally, I've been trying to get a start adding content to Wikiquote. Anything I can do to help!

I could be called a Deletionist or a WikiGnome, though I don't fall neatly into either catagory (and as to the accusations that I'm the evil twin of User:Shanel, I plead the fifth while cackling nefariously).

That about sums me up for now. No rest for the wiki'd!
