Anen was the first son of Yuya and Tjuyu, and a likely older brother of Ay. Anen became the Chancellor of Lower Egypt, Second Prophet of Amun, sem-priest of Heliopolis, and Divine Father under the reign of the powerful New Kingdom Pharaoh, Amenhotep III. He was also the older brother of Queen Tiy.
