Covasna (in Hungarian: Kovászna) is a Romanian county (Judeţ) in the Transylvania region, with the capital city at Sfântu Gheorghe (population: 67,108), known in Hungarian as Sepsiszentgyörgy. Its common abbreviation is CV.
Demographics
In 2000, it had a population of 231,172 and the population density was 62/km². According to the latest national census (2002), the major ethnic groups in the county are:

- Romanians (23.3%)
