In addition, Russia Today TV features documentaries on present-day life in Russia and its history.
In Russia viewers can watch RT as a part of the NTV Plus basic package.
The station is widely believed to be under Kremlin control, as are most television stations in Russia under President Vladimir Putin.
It is equally seen to be, in the vain of France 24 a political attempt to interject a Russian point of view into the international news market dominated by the American and British CNN International and BBC World.
