Template:Flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The flag of the Republika Srpska is based on the red-blue-white Serbian tricolour.

The republic is part of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has its own flag.

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Constitutional Court ruled on 31 March 2006 that the Constitutional Law on Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem of the Republika Srpska is not in conformance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina as it states that those symbols "represent statehood of the Republika Srpska" and are used "in accordance with moral norms of Serb people". The law was to be changed by September 2006, as must the Law on Coat of Arms and Flag of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is also affected by the ruling.
