I suppose I can see why some fans think he turned evil all of a sudden, but to me his history of being a dick, treating women as objects (or maybe as robots :) is all part of the gradual progression from unlikable-yet-not-really-evil guy to flat-out bad guy who probably deserved to get skinned at the end of S6.
