Intense Tropical Cyclone Irondro On The 28 March, JTWC identified a low-pressure area in the Indian Ocean, near the Equator. The system intensified into a Moderate Tropical Storm on 1st April and was named it Irondro. The system was rapidly intensifying in to a severe tropical storm on April 2nd.As it moved southwestwards, it rapidly intensified. It was upgraded into a Tropical Cyclone on April 3rd and the next day and equal a category 1 hurricane, it further strengthened into a Intense Tropical Cyclone On the 4th April and equal a category 2 hurricane on Saffir–Simpson scale.
Meteorological history
On the 28 March a Low pressure area formed in the Indian ocean near the equator. JTWC Identified. The system. 1st April MFR Identified the system and Mark it zone of distributed weather 11. The system rapidly intensifying in to Moderate tropical cyclone and name it Irondro. The system intensifying in to a severe tropical storm on April 2nd. 3rd April the System intensifying in to Tropical cyclone. 4th April the System intensifying in to Intense Tropical Cyclone MFR announced. Irondro was the 3rd intense tropical cyclone of the 2019–20 South-West Indian Ocean cyclone season.
