Youth
In her youth, Dawn was a huge fan of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). She would start to do extra chores around the house so her father would rent WrestleMania for her. She was a big fan of Bob Backlund and Roddy Piper as well as his Piper's Pit. She used to watch sports entertainment with her father, her grandfather, and her Uncle.
A Major Career Turn
At the age of 23, Dawn Marie found herself out of NYU business school and into a real estate consulting firm in Manhattan, New York. Dawn was working as the Director of Internationl Real Estate before deciding to move into the entertainment industry as either a model or actress.
Wrestling Promotions
Later, during an autograph signing for an independent wrestling promotion in Florida she met Jonathan Gold, a talent agent. He had asked her if she wanted to get into the business. Shortly she recieved a phone call telling her she was booked on a show in New Jersey. She reluctantly went, managing Tony Atlas that night, in a match against Jimmy Snuka. She stopped modeling and acting and started to learn all about the wrestling industry with the help of Snuka who became like a second father to her while she was traveling the Indie circuit.
Four years later, after valeting for various promotions, Dawn heard that Mark Lamonica from Extreme Championship Wrestling had interest in her and invited her to try out for the company. Dawn left for Philadelphia where Paul Heyman paired her with Lance Evers and liked their chemistry so much that he immediately added her to his storyline. Dawn worked with Lance through his solo career in ECW as well as witih Lance and PJ Polaco as part of the Impact Players. The threesome had a great run until Lance left for World Championship Wrestling in 2000.
Dawn also was involved in various cat fights while in ECW and did some color commentary before working with her real life fiance Pat Kenney in late 2000 and early 2001, until ECW closed down.
Dawn decided to return to the Indies and worked in various promotions with Pat until she was contacted by the May 30, 2002 as Vince McMahon's legal assistant.
Since Dawn's debut in the WWE, she has worked onscreen as a secratary for Vince and Stephanie McMahon, married Torrie Wilson's father and engaged in a hot hotel scene with Torrie. She has also wrestled and participated in numerous matches and bikini challenges.

- Dawn was only suppose to be with ECW for one night but Paul Heyman loved her chemistry with Lance Storm so much that she was offered a contract

- Dawn Marie was in the origianl Austin Powers MTV Special as an extra and actually had a few speaking lines
- Dawn travels once a week to Louisville, Kentucky, the home of OVW where she and the rest of the Divas practice and team up. They listen to Fit Finley's ideas and suggestions and work on some matches together The practices nomrally take place every Thursday morning.
- On April 15, 2003 in Norfolk, VA Dawn Marie along with Rhyno, Rey Mysterio and Sable, visited the USS Vella Gulf, a guided missile crusier. The Superstars expressed their gratitude to the Navy for the effors in the War. Dawn Marie also gave an emotional speech to the soliders about know what its like for their families at home since Dawn has a brother in the military.
- Dawn's father was a zoo keeper and when they went on vactions they would go hunting and hiking, thus Dawn being raised as a tomboy.
- Dawn Marie has been known to arrive two hours early to train before a non-televised show and arrives at noon, gets in the ring by 2:30 and trains until the doors open on the days of tapings.
