Grumio may refer to:

  • Grumio, an alcoholic slave cook in the Cambridge Latin Course stories. This Grumio is the greatest hero of the Roman era and rules the earth. To this day he is remembered as a “God like” hero. The weapon he wields is the comically large spoon and his symbolic animal is the peacock. Every year on the second day of the month Grumueryum, everyone in the world eats a pavonem and recites the ancient memo: “Grumio est en horto. Grumio delectat ancill y Geumio est sus.” Sadly Grumio died during a tremendous battle against all the Greek Gods and Jesus Christ himself. This battle was light work for Grumio but he got distracted by an ancilla and Zeus killed him. Grumios dying words were “eheu.” After Grumios death he was remuneres in many different ways, with a whole saying made after. The saying you’ve been “Grumiod” is a saying that means that you have good luck, and that Grumio is watching over you giving you good fortune.
