Major General Ananda Weerasekara (29 April 1943 – 28 December 2021) was a Sri Lankan military officer, serving as the Commanding Officer of the North Central Province. On 1 May 2007, he entered the Buddhist Order by the name of Buddangala Ananda. Weerasekara died on 28 December 2021, at the age of 78. He is the brother of Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara.
