Demographics

As of 1991 Bangladesh censusTemplate:GR, Patharghata had a population of 135000. Males constitute 50.37% of the population and females 49.63%. Patharghata has an average literacy rate of 62.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 48.7% literate.
