Good report here or thereabouts. Thanks for keeping your eyes open! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:35, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Sophronius S. Landt

My apologies for my editing of the Sophronius S. Landt article; the Wisconsin Blue Book 1895, pg. 673, biographical sketch of Sophronius Landt mentioned he lived in the village of Friendship, Wisconsin in Adams County, Wisconsin. I should had been more clearer with the editing and I apologized and take full responsibility. I have rewrote the sentence and acknowledged your good faith edit. Again my apologies. Thank you-RFD (talk) 22:49, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

No problem. You know Wisconsin better than I do, but I'd learned just enough from fixing some other articles with the same clarification need that you helped with right before, so I figured you'd gotten the wires crossed with the name and the county on that edit. Thank you for knowing/finding a source that specified which the correct one was. Best wishes! Zinnober9 (talk) 06:16, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi, about your accusation of a block evasion

To my knowledge, I never evaded a block. I created an account from my IP address that another user who had harassed me for more than a year now had an issue with, to open up a more consistent channel of discussion. I had made my edits, and many of them have been left up for months at a time, with collaborative edits by a number of other users, on the fashion section of 2010s in culture, as well as in Fashion design and Street Style. Other edits of mine were categorizations and mere typo corrections. Many of the edits I've made that you've reverted were literally corrections of grammatical errors. Which makes no sense.

That page has information that has been there for months now, and it’s kept to the standards of other editors who have edited those pages. Do you have another reason for reverting all of my edits? Binksternet even deleted content other users added, that included some of my content, to attack me. He swore at me on my talk page, accused me of racism, deleted other people's content, and held my content to standards not matched by the rest of the page. If you disagree with anything I've added or altered, please use the talk page first. Thank you. Velvetlaptop (talk) 01:50, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Above user is a now confirmed sockpuppet and should be ignored in all matters except if needed for further socking evidence. Zinnober9 (talk) 04:26, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Conflict of interest guide

Thank you Zinnober9! I am NEW to editing and am trying to minimally update the Citylink wiki page so it's factual. I will only update facts and not remove controversial things (even tho it's tempting lol) CitylinkIdahoKC (talk) 19:16, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

Frostbite revert

RE: this revert I'll try and be a bit more descriptive in my antivandalism edit summaries, sorry CiphriusKane (talk) 01:46, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

@CiphriusKane: My apologies, I was a bit too quick on the button. Your edit came up in red on the recent changes page and was tagged vandalism, so I thought it was, but after I clicked revert, I realized your edit was reverting the previous editor's vandalism and yours was valid. A clear edit summary is very helpful, so that would be great, but I messed up on this one. Thank you for your antivandalism editing! Zinnober9 (talk) 02:08, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Revert of talk page warnings

Hi Zinnober9! I saw that you made this edit to KillTimeEO's user talk page. Although I agree that the edit is very... "trollsy" (and strange, as you put it), users, by policy, are allowed to remove warnings from their own user talk pages. The things that they can't remove would be declined unblock requests regarding a block that's currently active, and some other things. Yeah, don't worry if you didn't know about this policy. I found out about it the exact same way that you're probably finding out about it now... someone had to message me and tell me. :-) Anyways, I thought I'd let you know. Cheers! ~Oshwah~ 02:49, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

  • @Oshwah: I was aware of that, but I was thinking that the use of their fowl language superseded that, and I mighta gotten a little trigger happy after I saw they'd refactored the first editor's comment earlier this evening. I appreciate your message however, as not all know about that, as is clear from some of the other editors this evening editing that page. I hope my last edit statement on their page helps calm things in that manner. Zinnober9 (talk) 03:45, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
No worries, it happens to the best of us. :-) ~Oshwah~ 04:27, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Another thank you

Sad that people like the one that edited Ed Gein COD to Covid 19 do not take Misplaced Pages as serious as those of us who care. Good catch. Thank you. -- Naaman Brown (talk) 15:53, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Need assistance

My talk page is being continually reverted back and "vandalized" by 47.241.192.40. Please assist me to get rid of this user. Mr. Pekka Stranker (talk) 06:32, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

I've already reported that IP for vandalism. Nothing I can do further, and I'm sorry they're harassing you. Just ignore them for the time being, and after they've been blocked, you can return your talk page to how you'd like it. Zinnober9 (talk) 06:40, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Gallery size parameter

I'm a bit confused this edit; I think the "heights" parameter is plural; Help:Gallery tag#Attributes and values lists it as "heights", and the singular "height" has no effect. Am I misunderstanding something? HLHJ (talk) 02:34, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

@HLHJ: Huh. I've never seen that page before, and it would explain why I keep finding so many pages with it when Template:Gallery never mentions it as an option. It's always appeared to me to be broken syntax when plural on pages, since the images are quite large and unruly, or aren't following the size set, but if it is actual syntax and used for a purpose, then I'm at fault and need to learn about that. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll mull it over and test some things. If you were to ask about it in a help or talk page setting in the next day or two, would you ping me? Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Zinnober9 (talk) 03:58, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
No problem. There is a difference between the template galleries starting "{{Gallery" and the tagged galleries in "<gallery>... </gallery>" tags; it's a bit confusing, but they are completely separate. I prefer tag galleries as they require a lot less typing-in of formatting characters. I only wish I could justify tag galleries and flow text around them, as Template:Multiple image is worse (perhaps I should ask about that, and if I do I'll tag you, but I suspect it's technically problematic). I was using a large height so that the reader could see the captioned details in each image without clicking on each to enlarge it, but perhaps they were a bit big. I'll use a more moderate size. ubl in The Sound of the Mountain

Hi, I've already commented on your question on the Template_talk:Unbulleted_list talk page. Could you use "unbulleted list" instead of "ubl" and see if the error persists? No use when I do this, because I don't get the mentioned error. --Robert Kerber (talk) 18:37, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply

I will reply to talk page and wait for a consensus. Thank you for your help thus far. OsagePizza72 (talk) 15:21, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

G13

Hi Zinnober9, I've noticed that you have been tagging some user subpages marked with {{Userspace draft}} for deletion using {{db-afc}}. Please note that WP:G13 only applies to userspace if it is tagged with {{AFC submission}} or contains article wizard placeholder text only. WP:ABANDON#Stale userspace drafts suggests how to handle the type of drafts you have been tagging. Thank you. plicit 00:08, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the clarification. Zinnober9 (talk) 22:13, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Your disaster of an edit

I hope you have realized by now how how damaging and wrong this edit back in June was! Yes, it does make a difference. I have spent some minutes reverting half of it - please finish the job. Johnbod (talk) 16:31, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

This was explained far more nicely in the "Gallery size parameter" section above, and since that other explanation, I have not resumed any corrections of such. Because you called me an idiot in your edit summaries on Sculpture, no, I will not "finish the job" to restore it to your visual preference. Zinnober9 (talk) 17:30, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

I’m new

I was just testing wiki, I want to help create more wildcards content, wanna help? Crackfloor (talk) 17:33, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

Regarding the other account

F.Y.i that’s just my brothers account so I don’t control it or have anything to do with it but I can talk to him for you if you want AngeredTrash710 (talk) 22:40, 2 May 2022 (UTC)

It would be wise for you and he to ignore each other on Misplaced Pages and not edit the same articles together, upload the same images, or mess about with each other's userpages. Otherwise it will give the impression of sockpuppeting/coordinated edits, which are against the site rules, and you and he might be blocked for such if that continues. Cheers, and happy editing. Zinnober9 (talk) 22:52, 2 May 2022 (UTC)

Unfortunately

Please remove the defamation information regarding any ‘sexual accusations’ from The Posies page. This information is to be taken down LittleMermaid23 (talk) 04:56, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

No, I will not remove sourced content you object to. I've replied on your talk page, but I'll repeat my main comments here too:
The current writeup about the allegations and the fallout (band members leaving) is well sourced and has been addressed by the Band and Stringfellow directly. And will remain on the articles regardless of outcome from these accusations. Stringfellow addressed the claims on his Twitter here where he doesn't agree with the claims, but that he does claim fault at "creating conditions where people could be upset and emotionally hurt". Regardless of if the allegations are true or not, the chain of events of the accusations and the band splitting up are noteworthy and worth keeping. Additionally, Misplaced Pages is not censored WP:NOTCENSORED "and may contain content that some readers consider objectionable or offensive‍".
and
No, I have not and will not be removing the content you object to. Additionally, how is being married to Dominique and not living in France relevant to your argument? You can be married and have sexual accusations launched against you. Additionally, if we say the band dissolved in 2021, you'd need to give a reason why, and that reason is the allegations against Stringfellow. You can't just bypass the major source of the dissolution. As for the not living in France part, that is in the subsection "Comeback and Every Kind of Light (2001–09)" on the Band's page, so I'd bet he was living in France during those years. I will agree to edit the tense of the statement, but I will NOT remove it. Zinnober9 (talk) 05:56, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

Thank you so much for defending people who vandalize wikipedia :). After what you've told me I will try and make them vandalizers comfortable here. You are such an inspiring person. PolarWafflez🐶 (talk) 20:31, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

I'm not defending them, but you don't need to further antagonize (or bludgon) them when they've already been warned. Edits like when you called us idiots is not appropriate. Zinnober9 (talk) 21:54, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
