Wiki Women in Red - a proposed User Group

Having worked for 2 years editing articles for Women In Red, a group of organizers have concluded that sourcing is one of the biggest hurdles in creating articles on women and non-binary genders. Though it is true that a lot of sourcing simply doesn’t exist, it is also true that there are sources, but we have no access to them. As these groups did not typically become subjects for academic study until the 1970s, many of the sources are not on line or are behind paywalls. Failure to include women and non-binary people in the encyclopedia presents a one-dimensional view of society and history. To address those issues, we are forming a new User Group aimed at referencing and support for like-minded groups and would appreciate your input or input from your supporters in our organizational process. Women and the trail

Hi !

Seeing your page, I thought it would be very interesting to participate. I am huge fan of running especially of trail. However, I have not seen a trail section here for women. We could include Emilie Forsberg which had many victories in the European and World Championships.

Let me know what you think about this

Patti Paniccia draft

Hello! I'm wondering if anyone for this talk page is able to review my article draft for the surfer Patti Paniccia? The page has been under review for a while now (since I made many extensive edits), so I'm not sure how to proceed... Thank you!

Help! WUSA players up for deletion

Hello! I'm looking for help from people who know more about soccer in the United States. @Dwanyewest has been created articles for WUSA players, and I've been working to expand them. However, my familiarity with soccer/football is quite low, so I'm not always sure how to phrase things or what information is valuable (e.g., what does it mean to be All-American?). A number of articles are up for deletion (see Brooke O'Hanley, Megan Horvath, Carey Dorn, and Alexa Borisjuk), and we'd love your support keeping women on Misplaced Pages! Major RfC on capitalization of all our articles

I thought this was a done deal back in this 2022 RFC but obviously not. A handful of editors did another rfc with no sports projects input at all. And it's being challenged because we just noticed it. This could affect almost every single tennis and Olympic article we have, and goodness know how many other sports. Some may have already been moved it you weren't watching the article. And not just the article titles will be affected but all the player bios that link to the articles. Sure the links would be piped to the right place if thousands of articles moved, but if the wording in a bio still said 2023 Wimbledon Championships – Men's singles or Swimming at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's 200 metre backstroke that would likely need to be changed by hand. There is also talk of removing the ndash completely.

Perhaps this is what sports projects want and perhaps not. Either way I certainly don't want projects ill-informed as the last RfC was handled. Express your thoughts at the following rfc. Fyunck(click) (talk) 21:02, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
