An abomination

I don't know where to begin in listing all the things that are awful about this system. It is a calculated assault on the potential of golf in every country except the U.S.; it treats the Players Championship like a major, when there is no consent for that presumption in the rest of the world; the points allocation is ludicrous (only a 10% premium for majors!); the recalculating is complex and cynically computer modelled to create artificial suspense; it makes a total joke of the money list; it offers a so-called "golfer of the year title" that might go to a player who missed the cut in all four majors. In Australia we produce about four times as many top one hundred ranked golfers per capita as the U.S., but Tom Finchem would just love it if none of them ever played in Australia again. America just wants to take, take, take and give nothing back to the global game. The whole thing utterly stinks. ReeseM 03:51, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
