The menu consists of burgers, sandwiches, salads, fries, milkshakes, and a full-service bar.
History
The restaurant is named after Francis the pig, a pig who escaped from a slaughterhouse and became a local folk hero in Canada.
Francis began operating in 2021 as a food truck, serving burgers outside of the Minneapolis brewery Sociable Ciderworks. The first brick-and-mortar location opened in January 2023 on Central Ave in the Northeast neighborhood, and the second location opened on East Lake Street in November 2024.
Reception
Francis Burger Joint was named #19 in Yelp's "Top 100 Vegan Restaurants in the US 2024". The restaurant received positive reviews from local food critics.
