Bale Messenger (Persian: پیامرسان بانکی بله, Yes) is an Iranian instant messaging (IM), voice-over-IP (VoIP) service, social media platform, and mobile payment app developed by the National Bank of Iran.
History
Bale was launched in December 2016, with the goal of providing a secure and versatile messaging service that integrates financial transactions.
Features
The platform preserves user data, transferring all personal information—including chat history, files, contacts, and media—to new devices without requiring a backup.
Bale also provides web applications for Windows, macOS, and iOS, enabling users to manage their finances and communications across various internet-enabled devices. These web apps are optimized for performance, offering a seamless transition between devices without requiring login to the Android app.
Security and privacy are central to Bale’s design, with advanced encryption technology protecting messages and financial transactions. This adheres to stringent data protection standards. The app is globally accessible, allowing users with any SIM card or phone number to participate in messaging and transactions worldwide.
Users can send text messages, images, videos, voice messages, and files, and they can also create group chats or broadcast messages to multiple recipients. Additionally, Bale offers an option for users to set up a username, allowing others to find them without sharing their phone number. The username must be at least five characters long and can include lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores.
Message Exchange Bus (MXB)
Bale connects with other Iranian messaging platforms like Eitaa, Soroush, and Rubika, allowing users to transfer text and data to contacts on these platforms without requiring them to have Bale, enhancing seamless communication across different services. This system is called Message Exchange Bus (MXB), created for the first time in Iran.
MXB is a technology that connects major Iranian messaging platforms like Bale, Eitaa, Soroush, Rubika, Gap and iGap and enables users to send messages and files and ext. between these apps without needing a separate account for each one ensuring uninterrupted communication regardless of the platform used. This system is instrumental in creating a unified messaging ecosystem in Iran.
MXB enhances the user experience by providing a unified communication method, robust security measures, and the convenience of accessing contacts on various platforms without the need for multiple messaging accounts and apps.
