The Albania national basketball team is the basketball side that represents Albania in international competitions.

Eurobasket 1947

Albania first competed in the European championship at Eurobasket 1947. Their debut performance ended without a win, as they lost all three preliminary games, both semifinal round games, and the 13th/14th place classification match to finish 14th out of 14 teams.

Eurobasket 1957

Ten years later, at Eurobasket 1957 in Sofia, the Albanians fared no better. They lost ten matches out of ten played, going 0-3 in the preliminary round and 0-7 in the classification round to finish 16th of 16.

Honorable players The best player in Albania is Arber Tota who has the records for points in a game with 64 points against Apollonia October 1992, followed by Igli Panariti with 54 points aginst Partizani in 1986. The first foreign player to play in Albania was Seva Miheev who won rookie of the year in 1967 with 15.5 points per game, 10 rebounds per game and 12.3 assists per game. Template:Fb start
