'Domaine Chandon, established in 1973 by Moët et Chandon, was the first French-owned sparkling winery located in California's Napa Valley. The winery cultivates grapes in the Napa Valley appellations of Carneros, Mt. Veeder and Yountville (where the winey is located), Domaine Chandon crafts a portfolio of methode champenoise sparkling and varietal wines made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, the traditional grapes used in the production of Champagne. A Napa Valley destination, the winery hosts many thousands of guests annually who visit to tour, taste, and enjoy world-class fine dining at étoile Restaurant, the only fine dining establishment located within a working winery in Napa Valley. Winemakers and chefs work in partnership to create a wine and food experience which is rated among the finest culinary experiences in America.
