That this article does not exist anywhere on the Net, but by the imagination of its author (a two second time out on Google suffices to see the point), then surely for the reasons you give there is no need for speedy deletions of any articles at all? I'll just open any article I like, contest the deletion, add a single sentence on the talk page and leave it at that shall I? I am not going to contest this further, but will let the article remain, and when it is finally figured out that Misplaced Pages can be used to invent new categories and genres, thus denting its rep more, we can turn to you and say thanks for the contribution. It's people like you that make Misplaced Pages a trusted and reliable source of information. Deff6 13:05, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- 'Think of it this way, we shouldn't keep an article just because one person says it's true, nor should we delete it because one person says it's not.' It's not one person saying it's not - it is the RESEARCH done and that I've provided that say so. But I will not contest it. I will just start opening up nonsense articles everywhere and contest their deletion and use your reasoning shall I? Let's start taking up Afd's time with articles that are absolute nonsense from the get-go - and further block those articles that really call for it. Did you check that user's past contributions? They continually use celebrity gossip on artist pages, fail to give fair use rationales for any uploaded media, and like to add stuff on Misplaced Pages that "they remember" without sufficient source. As I've said, I'll let it remain, as a testament to your good works at Misplaced Pages. Deff6 13:12, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank You
Thanks for the compliment! Your compliments mean a lot coming from an admin! I just try to do my part by helping out when possible :-)

Dirt Dart Deletion
Thanks for your hast deletion of the dirt dart page before I had a chance to disagree. Rather than delete, could this be placed under U.S. Army slang section?
Ha Ha, I meant hasty. Thanks for your help.
XL-EasyGantt
Dear Mallanox,
Instead of deleting XL-EasyGantt immediately, probably you could have dicussed about it isn't it? Or at least try to find out more and see how can the article be improved.
In what way do you see that the XL-EasyGantt page.. (now gone) was different from the rest of the software listed in List of project management software page? Some of which don't even have proper content and just contains some skeleton page without useful information. Would appreciate if you could explain the differences. Thanks.
Dear Mallanox, thank you for your reply. I have posted my reasons at Renesis's talk page. As said, Excel based gantt tools are notable and should have a category of their own as they fit the gaps between people who struggle to use spreadsheets to create gantt charts and those using standalone project tools who need to distribute charts to team members who do not have such tools installed. Excel based tools come in very useful. XL-EasyGantt is not the only tool that makes use of Excel, but it is one good representative product.
Thank you. Vikerbandt.

Arden Wohl
Hello you did not even give me a chance !! I am going to complain to the administrators about this!!! I tagged this article to give me a chance!! Arden Wohl is a notable person and many articles have been written about her!!!!!!!!
- Can you tell me how to keep ARdens s article up?:O)
Windham Wyndham-Quin, 5th Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl
Hi - You mentioned here that Wyndham-Quin was an MP - this is not mentioned in the article. Furthermore, his peerage was hereditary, which does not confer notability. - Tiswas 14:07, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- I see the MP bit now - I would most likely not have tagged it, had I seen it in the succession box. I'll edit it into the main article, as it is the only thing that WW-Q5EoDaM-E has done of note. Insofar as peerage guidelines - there are none, as far as I know, which is why I apply the usual WP:BIO, WP:N tests - Tiswas 14:14, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Solutions Twin Cities
Dear Mallanox,
I must say I'm rather astonished by the rapid deletion of a page I spent many hours today researching and carefully constructing. I return to check on it just a few hours after completion, and notice that it is gone due to poor notability? This is an important organization in the Twin Cities that in one outing gathered far more people than the presentations by Worldchaning. How is this any less relevant than its sister presentation formats that are on wikipedia, such as Pecha Kucha and Lightning Talk. I submit to you that if Solutions Twin Cities deserves to be deleted, so do these other pages.
- Is there a way I can get a copy of all the text I wrote? I'd like to perhaps add it again once it's had more events and created a great significance.
Styria
hi. i would like to change (move) the page Styria (state) to "Styria" ... but "Styria" is a re to "Styria (State)" as u should know. is this possible. thanx, Enlarge 16:55, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- aha, well, i see u also changed the Styria to Styria (dis.) - ok, but i would prefer the other way; this what Styria means, the state of styria. please, let me change it. thanx a lot and by, Enlarge 17:02, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Winchell
Hey I'm wondering why Winchell got deleted? You say no content. I quite dutifully filled out the required forms, hit submit, created the talk page, etc. When I recreated it I even put the hangon tag on it while I looked for other references. Now it's gone, and unfortunatley I didn't save my prior owrk anywhere but wikipedia. Anyway, I'd like to know by what process it got deleted, and under what policies it was chosen for discorporation. ==Arden Wohl== can you check this out now,..my reason for wanting Arden Wohl in wiki is she is going to be a formidable force in using her movies to bring attention to exploited children....thanks, it would mean alot to me if you restored this article..I think it looks sweet right now... please let me know...I think the page looks pretty cool now!!!
Dekker Dreyer
Hi Maalox. Please I would like to ask for a relist of Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Dekker Dreyer. The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival is a big scam.
About Miramax, the work he supposedly was asked to do for them was a submission that they showed up in this website. It is the same movie that was select in a web poll for Slamdance (not getting a major prize, tjhe prize was just being screened).
Thanks for your time.
Stellatomailing 16:43, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your kind message. I am sorry to insist on this, the thing is that I try to research a lot my AfDs to not do any injustices, and I am quick to admit when I make a mistake. I understand that this was a long and painful discussion to read and closing articles take a long time.
About the NY Film Festival, there was an exposure in Village Voice in 10/1997 - since I did not read the article, I cannot cite it. The best articles I could provide are this and this. Looks pretty clear that it is a commercial event without anyartistic value, but there was not a court ruling or anything like that. I can tell you that when you get a place in the Fest you get 50 tickets, and if you buy your way to their "cannes festival" counterpart you get even more. Other than that, not much to say. I do not think this can be considered a serious festival, crooked or not. From what I heard, to get an audience award is just a matter of bringing the most friends to watch it and vote; but this is entirely original research, not acceptable.
About the Miramax, my point is that it does not have anything to do with Miramax properly, it was just somebody that created the site and was accepting any contribution on the website. You can see that the contributions included even Jpegsin the links.(Forum Page, rules to submission page)
The discussion itself was messed up, because of the sockpuppetry of the article's author and the vandalism that got her blocked.
I would really appreciate if you could get the discussion reopened, so at least we can hear more people on it. In the end, there was one delete(my vote), two weak deletes, and one keep (counting her two votes as one). Stellatomailing 03:22, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Please Could you explain this
Given that the majority of votes was to keep the article: "List of synagogues in the United States" why did you delete it? There was no consensus to do so. Please do not understand this as an attack. I am merely trying to understand how wikipedia operates. I am somewhat baffled on this one. Heliumballoon 18:28, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the note, I've restored the article per your comment. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 20:54, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Cathay Camera Club
Hi Mallanox, please could you advise how we can get our Camera Club page resurrected on Misplaced Pages ? We are a valid non-profit organisation based in Hong Kong encouraging photographers of all levels to get involved. Please advise, thanks, Rick.
