"Crash and Burn (Entourage)" |
---|
Template:Otheruses2 "Crash and Burn" is an episode from Season 3 of the dramedy television series Entourage.
Plot
Vince buys Aston Martins for the whole gang, and gets Saigon on the radio for Turtle. Vince, Ari and Eric meet with the heads of Warner Brothers to discuss the postponement of Aquaman 2 so that he can be in Medellin. They agree to hold off for 65 days, though Haggis, the Medellin director, wanted 90. Later that day Turtle, who is being swamped with calls about Saigon, and Drama, who is seeking an agent, have lunch with Ari who agrees to work with Turtle and represent Drama, so that the lunch will end more quickly. His daughter, Sarah, is still seeing Max Ballard despite Ari's attempts to keep them apart, and is planning to go sailing with him. Ari meets with Penny Marshall, who is involved in a movie which will be filming in Kazakhstan, so Ari successfully plugs Max for the part over one of his own clients.
Meanwhile, Eric and Vince meet with Haggis. He tells them the 65 days Vince has been given is not enough, but comes to the house later that evening to brainstorm ways they can make it work because he 'cannot picture Medellin without Vince'. Eric suggests they film the portion of the movie requiring Vince to be skinny before Aquaman, have him put on 70 pounds, then film the rest later.
Pleased with this resolution, Vince and Eric meet with the Warner heads again, but before Ari arrives Vince is informed that they didn't think he would be able to convince Haggis to use the 65 days, and they simply didn't want him "doing three hours of blow on every multiplex in the country." Outraged, Vince demands 20 million for Aquaman 2, threatening to quit the project. Ari arrives, apologizing for being late.
Trivia
- Eric has a six-year-old niece.
- Vince buys Aston Martin's for himself, Eric, Turtle & Drama. This is partially due to Vince giving away Eric's Maserati in One Day in the Valley.
Title Reference
Vince, once riding high, is in danger of losing both movies he was slated to do.
In addition, the 2004 film Crash was directed by Paul Haggis, who makes a cameo in this episode.
