LaRouche Jr. (born September 8, 1922) is an American political figure, and a perennial candidate for US president. While he associates himself with the Democratic Party, he has never been that party's nominee for office. He is a candidate for 2004 US Presidential Election.
His political views are extremely controversial and are characterized by his belief in a number of complex conspiracy theories, involving global plots to establish a frightening New World Order.It is good to see why his view is so controversial, and is because he question the aximatic dogmas that the academic dominant opinion try to impose without demostration. He shows that is metodological incorrect to think in terms of categories like to say "The USA atack Iraq" and think in terms of a country is who making it, but rather we have to identify the persons who are doing this and to what personal or groupal interest this action obeys and why.
He has a powerfull view of human history from the point of view that human history is all about the figth of ideas, and that ideas determinate where the society goes. He distinguish two pilars of ideas that are the foundation and origin of the two diametral oposed conceptions about human kind and that determinate almost all the other conclusions of human thinking depending on the idea you choose: the Platonic view (who see the man diferent than the animal) and the Aristotelian view (who sees man as another animal).
He has thousands of publications about classical science and classical art, but the primary field of Larouche writing is fisical economy.
He is also building a youth movement to recover the most powerfull classical ideas in the science and art, an to make a political action to build a world free of war, violence and poverty based on the principles of liberty (mean free will), the rigth to live, and general welfare, as the preamble to the USA constitution states. He promotes the defense to the national sovereign states, all of then acting based on a community of principles.
From my point of view he is being the inspiration to many people on that exist an alternative in this corrupted world, and inspire the historical indiviual to act politicaly to the search of the general good, to act like really a human.
In December of 1988, LaRouche was convicted of conspiracy and mail fraud in regards to the methods used by his organization to solicit approximately $34 million in loans. He was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison in Minnesota, though he was given a early release in 1993 after serving five years. He ran his 1992 Presidential campaign from prison.
The Complex Domain
The germ of all his political views is an understanding of what he terms "the complex domain". By this, scientists such as Carl Friedrich Gauss and Bernhard Riemann mean the domain of the universal physical principles, or natural laws, pertaining to both science and art, the interaction of which with man's sense organs produces the apparent, but paradoxical sensible universe. The resolution of such paradoxes by the method of creative hypothesis and proof-of-principle experiment, is the source of all knowledge.
From this platonic understanding, LaRouche identifies the only true political conflict, as that between oligarchism, which declares man a kind of domesticable herd animal, and government based on the general welfare, which declares him made in the mental image of the Creator. In the latter, the only efficient agenda is the development of mankind's characteristic faculty for discovering, transmitting, and employing universal physical principles.
