Channing Tatum (born Channing Bryan Isaac Tatum Anderson on 20 April 1980 in Cullman, Alabama) is an actor and model.

He was oldest of eight children in an affluent family in Alabama that moved to South Dakota. He was shipped off to a boarding school in 9th grade.

His first experience in the entertainment industry was modeling. He was cast in Britney Spears's music video for "I'm A Slave 4 U" and Ricky Martin's "She bangs" video. He eventually signed with Major Models, an agency in New York City. He's been in the pages of Vogue magazine, Citizen K, and Contents. He's worked for campaigns such as Abercrombie and Fitch, Nautica, American Eagle, and Emporio Armani. He's been in commercials for American Eagle and Mountain Dew. He's been in CSI: Miami, Fast Boys, the independent film Havoc and Coach Carter.

He currently lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
