He was the cheif of Bangladesh Navy. Also he was acted as Minister of Communication of Bangladesh Govt. During that period, in communication sector, there were huge development in Bangladesh. Dhaka-Chittagong Highway, Dhaka-Rangpur-RajShahi highway, Dhaka-Khulna highway, Dhaka-Sylhet separate highway, all these roads had built newly at the international standard, which made Dhaka nearer to his periferial district. There are thousands of small & big bridges build on that time.
