The hero of Dragon Warrior III of whom legends speak dropped from the heavens. In reality he came from the town of Aliahan and is the son of Ortega, a famous warrior who embarked on a quest to defeat the Demon King Baromos, but fell in the journey. Several of Erdrick's descendants also save the world and their stories are told in Dragon Warrior I and Dragon Warrior II. In the original Japanese language games (Dragon Quest) Erdrick is known by the name Loto (or Roto, depending on the romanization system used).
