Amanda Joy Michalka (better known as AJ) was born on April 10th, 1991, in Torrance, California, and is an actress and singer. She is the younger sister of Alyson Michalka, who plays Keely Teslow on Disney Channel's Phil of the Future. She sings with her older sister. They released an album recently, called Into the Rush. They have three music videos: Do You Believe in Magic?, Walking on Sunshine, and No One. She helped write No One, Once Upon A Time, and Protecting Me, which was featured on Phil of the Future episode, My Way. When she was younger, she was in a number of WORD Music productions at her church in southern California.
Early life
AJ and Aly got into music at a very early age. They first sang to entertain their friends and family. AJ was nine when she started to study acting. She started out with a lead role with a church musical, Jailhouse Rock. She then worked as a model, appearing in store posters and on magazine covers.
