Christine Maggiore is an HIV positive activist and founder of Alive & Well AIDS Alternatives.

She challenges the scientific community with her belief that the HIV virus does not cause AIDS. She has given birth to 2 children while being HIV positive. Her youngest daughter died at the age of 3 to an AIDS related pneumonia (based on coroner exam). This diagnosis is currently under dispute and the parents have sought for a second opinion. Shortly after, the eldest son was tested for HIV, and was reported to be negative. Christine is currently embroiled in controversy (based on her own account and beliefs) that her children were not tested for HIV infection. Physicans close to the case have suggested that the daughters death was preventable if she had been tested for HIV.
